Life @ CA
The Creative Assembly’s top secret HQ resides in Horsham, West Sussex. Voted the 2nd best place to live in the UK in Channel 4’s “Best and Worst Places To Live 2006″ show, and still at a very respectable 9th place in 2007, Horsham is a very prosperous town with a lot to offer.
Located in the heart of West Sussex, Horsham is easily accessible to London, Brighton and Guildford. Offering picturesque countryside and all of the facilities of a modern town, Horsham is a great place to relax, explore and play.
Situated in the centre of town, The Creative Assembly’s office is just a stones throw from the Swan Walk shopping centre, train station, Capitol Cinema and Theatre, bowling alley, park, gym, and essentials such as HMV and Game. There are also a variety of fantastic restaurants and pubs to suit all tastes.
The Office
We moved into our shiny new office in December 2007, to make room for our exciting next-gen projects. The spacious environment is a hub for creativity and innovation. With our latest videos projected onto the walls, digital whiteboards, creative corners complete with bean bags from which to do some brainstorming, fresh fruit deliveries, and a Bafta proudly on show in the display cabinet, it is quite a nice place to spend your time.
Things to do
For families there is the Holmbush Farm World where you can interact with farm animals at close quarters, the 36 acre open-air Amberley Working Museum, Fishers Farm Park which offers a variety of adventure play and a farmyard, Shipley Windmill as featured on the BBC Television series Jonathan Creek, and Huxleys Birds of Prey Centre & Garden.
For sport fans, Horsham is host to two fantastic gyms including the Pavilions in the Park and the Broadbridge Heath Leisure Centre.
There is also a variety of beautiful parks to explore, including the 90-acre Southwater Country Park, Horsham Park, Warnham Nature Reserve and Tilgate Park in Crawley.
In neighbouring Crawley, you can find the County Mall with over 90 different stores, offers a multi-story 15-screen cinema. Movie buffs may also want to invest in a CineWorld card that allows them to watch unlimited films for only £13.50 a month!
